KAR

Learn, do, review.

At any moment you are learning, doing or reviewing: Knowledge, Action, Reflection. KAR is my name for the oldest loop in learning. A vault needs all three, and each fails in its own way when it is missing.

Knowledge informs action. Action produces results that reflection examines. Reflection adjusts both what you do and what you choose to learn.

One vault, two systems, three modes.

An extended PARA decides where a note lives. The Sylvics adaptation of the Zettelkasten decides how an idea matures. KAR says what you are doing. Pick a note to see all three at once.

PARA says where a note lives. Zettelkasten says what stage it is in. KAR says what state you are in.

Modes describe you. Folders are where each mode's work lands.
