🎬 Inside the mind of a master procrastinator

For the record: I watched a fourteen-minute talk about procrastination on Friday 28 March instead of doing 📌 Revise for the midterm. The midterm was four days away. I noted this in 2025-03-28-Friday under frictions, where it belongs.
It is a funny talk by a blogger with stick-figure drawings. His model of a procrastinator's head has three characters:
- a sensible planner at the wheel,
- a monkey who only wants what is easy and fun, and who takes the wheel whenever there is work,
- a monster who wakes up when a deadline is close enough to be frightening, and is the only thing the monkey fears.
The good part is the last three minutes. The monster only turns up for things with a deadline. The things without one, the ones that matter most over a life, never frighten anybody, so they quietly do not happen. He ends on a grid of small boxes, one for each week of a long life, and lets the room look at it.
Fair. The midterm had a monster. The book I say I want to write does not.
Not kept as a framework. Kept as evidence.
