🛠️ Weekly review script
💡 Use Case
- Four prompts I read aloud, to myself, on Sunday evening, one for each step of 🧭 Weekly review in four steps. No model is involved. The file is in this folder because it is a prompt and I am the thing being prompted.
- Reading aloud is the trick. A question I only look at gets a nod; a question I hear gets an answer.
- It runs after 🔹 Sunday money check and before the call with Ines, which gives it a hard stop.
How I use it
1. COLLECT What happened? Read the seven daily notes. Do not judge yet.
2. COMPARE What did I say on Monday that this week was for? Was it?
3. PATTERN Name one thing that happened more than once.
4. CHANGE What is the one thing I will do differently, and on which day?
- Open the seven daily notes and the week's plan side by side.
- Read prompt 1 aloud. Answer in the weekly note, in sentences.
- Same for 2, 3 and 4. No skipping ahead to 4.
- Write Monday's first task on the card.
⚖️ Pros & Cons
Pros
- Twenty-five minutes with the script, fifty without.
- The fourth prompt allows one change. Not three. The year's better weeks each began with one.
Cons
- Jonas can hear me from the kitchen.
- On a bad week the third prompt gets the same answer as last time, and the script has no opinion about that.
🔄 Alternatives
- Reviewing in my head on the Monday tram, which is how weeks 7 and 28 went.
