🔔First Frost

Soft bells, a few seconds apart, in a long echo over one held chord. Five notes to the octave, so nothing can go wrong between them.

From the ambient set that came with the vault. I use it for revision at ☕ Fennick Library reading room, where the silence is the loud kind and one cough carries. The bells are sparse enough that I can still hear myself work through a problem, and regular enough to cover the cough.

• The only track of the eight with events in it. If I notice myself waiting for the next bell, it is time for a break.
• The first frost here comes in late November, about when the autumn revision starts, so the name is at least seasonal.
• Revision is the long form of 🔹 Statistics practice, 25 minutes, and this is what it sounds like.
• Two minutes thirty-six. It loops cleanly.
